Shea butter that Pasqualina & Magdalene uses is from a Fair Trade Organization.  It is one of the few organizations in the US in which to obtain fair trade shea butter.  They partner with women in Ghana to obtain the shea butter and pay them fair wages to support their families.  Ghana is the largest exporter of West African unrefined pure raw shea butter.  The shea butter is Grade “A” quality with no or minimal grain leaving the shea butter smooth and creamy.  It is beige in color; not yellow.  It is harvested using the traditional method of the Ghanaian women.  This is the shea butter used for all of Pasqualina & Magdalene’s  products that contain shea butter.  Shea butter sold by Pasqualina & Magdalene is 100% pure premium unrefined raw shea butter; unless you request other oils to be added.  We add essential oils (EO) and/or other pure oils at your request*.
